Wha' sup?

While I was feeding Logan last night I looked down and this was my view!!! I told Olivia to go get my camera!!! I had to capture this moment!!
I actually created something this morning for my friend Ardith!!! Hope all is well Ardie! I'll mail it today!!!
Two of my babies sharing a tender moment!! How sweet!
My little man in his first ever Cross Country race! There were approximately 46 runners in his class from 6 different schools and he came in 5th place. I asked him at the end of the race why he had grass stains on his knees...He said, "Man I was in second place when I fell in that hole,I could have been in 3rd or 4th." I just laughed and told him he did awesome!!! But boy was he winded!!! Not bad for a boy who had a chest infection a week and a half ago. I guess it's true...you can't keep a good man down!!!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Today, in my little part of the world I am battleing a diaper rash...well not personally, but little Jr. has it bad. I never had to deal with a rash with my other kids...Brayden and Olivia never had this kind of situation down there. Logan has what the doctor is treating as thrush (Like a yeast infection on his bottom), but the medication (cream) doesn't seem to be working as fast as I'd like it to. His poor bum is raw sore! I mean raw! I change him every time he poops ASAP and still it is not going away! I have even been drying his bum with a hair dryer....Picture that if you will!!! Me kneeling beside my naked baby who is face down on a blanket and totally naked with me behind him with a hair dryer...Sweet thoughts! I definately am gaining some embarrassing tidbits for his wedding toast! lol... Hoping the rash is going away soon.... I have been using cornstarch as well because every single person I have told about the rash has suggested using it...So I am in between cream applications.

Had book club with the girls....got to see where Paulette lives and where the barn is....It is a real barn!!! (kidding..I did know that). Glad I got to see it finally!, I love my girls they are great!!! Our book club however has become lazy and stagnent....we just don't seem motivated and that sucks!!! I know some of you will be reading this and I don't mean to offend, I too am a slacker, but I just wish we could all get inspired again to create like we used to... I think a merge is in order, even if just for one night, to see if some of the drive and enthusiasum from the other book club can rub off onto us!!! I need a good boost! I did offer them a challenge for their next meeting out here in B'water. Hope they can find time to create it! Put it on your to do list girls...pretend it has to be done!!! Make it a priority!!! I might go do mine now!!! Right after breakfast and a coffee!

We are all feeling it Angie... sometimes it's just the month, sometimes it's just the commitment, and sometimes it just is.Somethings have a life cycle and some cycles are just life.It depends on what you need in your toolbox ( thanks myleta) at any given time.Things can't stay the same if we are changing. If we can't evolve together then we aren't meant to be... more food for thought & we can talk about it at your house! I personally loved seeing you & the baby & I know that was an effort to travel all this way...Thanks for taking the time to do it!!!!

Hi chickie! I hated getting advice when my babies were little but I'm going to give you some anyway lol!
My kids got diaper rashes from Pampers (because they are scented) adn the minute I switched to Huggies they went away. It was never really bad but it gives you something to think about..unless of course you're using cloth and then I should just shut my mouth! hee!hee! sorry!
btw...awesome card!!!

Hi Angie,
I look forward to your posts and look for them daily, knowing your spare time is precious. Wouldn't it be great if creativity came in a box, like cornflakes and we just had to open it up. I think the biggest 'problem' people have is 'creating' the time for themselves. You know, sometimes you will take time do something for someone else but not for yourself...food for thought.

Like Chantal, I hate people telling me what to do where Gaby is concerned but I am going to tell you what works for me...

Gaby is 10 months and has never had a diaper rash. I use IWK buttocks paste everytime I change her. I learned this in school. It is the best stuff ever invented for a baby's bum! When the rash clears up I highly recommend switching to this stuff. I use pampers and have been ever since Gaby was little so i am not sure about your theory chantal??!! (I CURSE huggies because I find they leak). You have to ask for IWK buttocks paste at the pharmacy because they make it there.

Good Luck!
Elyss

Love the feet picture, Angie...see, your creativity is not gone. It is just in a different place. BC keeps me motivated because it gives me a goal. And I love that we are all so different!

Love the feet! As for diaper rash, had them, I think I just always used like a zinc paste on their bums, all the time, it was really thick and white and hard to get off my fingers, I think my mother made me use it cause I had no idea what to do. Olivia is so cute with her baby. Take care
